TOUCHSCREEN ON 485

Microcom now offers a full color touchscreen display for our 485 series ticket printers. The touchscreen gives your box office the ability to change printer settings “on the fly” and grants flexibility in between print jobs that may sporadically arise. Once the settings have been appropriately configured, the printer has a lock feature to prevent tampering of settings.

THE MICROCOM DIFFERENCE

Falling in line with Microcom products, ease of use was important in the design and navigation through the menus is user intuitive and ergonomic. With the product customers also have access to Microcoms in house staff of support engineers. The touchscreen offers a clear path for Microcom personnel to assist the user more quickly and access important printer information that is necessary for troubleshooting.

The 485 Touchscreen Line:

3 INCH TOUCH DISPLAY

Unlike other touchscreens on the market the new Microcom full color touchscreen is 3 inches, making it easier to see and select choices. The menu system is intuitive and easy to navigate with buttons that are larger than existing printers.

ON SCREEN HELP MENUS

Learn what each setting does before adjusting. The purpose of some settings are less obvious than others; the help menus can help fill in the gaps.

CONFIGURABLE SETTINGS

Many parameters of the printer can be set through the touchscreen. Use the display to dial in paper settings, turn on/off printer features, and configure network and RFID settings.

REAL TIME STATUS MONITORING

Without a display, the printer communicated its status by multi-colored, flashing LEDs. The touchscreen removes the guesswork and displays the current status condition of the printer on- screen.
