The TIME AND MATERIALS Program offers several choices, each based on the customer’s required turn-around time.
TIME AND MATERIALS is as simple as it sounds—you pay only for the time spent on the repair and the materials (parts) to complete the repair.
1 Working Day: Microcom Corporation repairs and ships the returned goods within 1 working day from the received date, with a multiple of three (3) times the normal labor rate for the services performed.
3 Working Days: Microcom Corporation repairs and ships the returned goods within 3 working days from the received date, with a multiple of two (2) times the normal labor rate for the services performed.
5 Working Days: Microcom Corporation repairs and ships the returned goods within 5 working days from the received date, with a multiple of one and one-half (1 1/2) times the normal labor rate for the services performed.
Standard: Microcom Corporation repairs and ships the returned goods within 10-15 working days from the received date at the normal labor rate.
Labor rate is based on the then current Microcom Corporation TIME AND MATERIALS labor schedule.

Microcom Corporation’s Limited Warranty begins on the original product or component ship date. The FLAT RATE program commences one (1) year from the ship date of the product and extends the service per the number of the additionally purchased service years.
Microcom Corporation’s FLAT RATE program includes the following:
- All labor and parts (excluding print heads and cutters)
- Repair of non-functioning equipment
- Complete preventive maintenance procedures will be performed on all returns
- Three (3) - working day turn-around with return ground shipping to the continental U.S. and Canadian addresses at no additional cost
The Warranty Return and Support process outlined in Microcom Corporation’s Limited Warranty applies to all warranty or service requests under the FLAT RATE program.
The FLAT RATE program does not include any product, equipment, or sub-component that has been modified, improperly installed or used, or damaged by accident or neglect. In the event that a repair of non-functioning equipment or components is beyond reasonable cost (as determined by reasonable discretion of Microcom Corporation), Microcom Corporation will make every attempt to replace the component or equipment with a comparable model. Due to obsolescence issues beyond Microcom Corporation’s control, some items may be replaced with an equivalent or better alternative that may require modification to the original product for compatibility.
NOTE: Please retain original packaging in the event of an RMA. Microcom is not responsible for damaged product not returned in original packaging.
