Microcom Corporation Releases New 428 plus Series Thermal Printers for Ticketing, Labeling and Wristband Applications

LEWIS CENTER, OH – May 2, 2012 – Microcom Corporation, a leading global provider of
thermal printers, introduces an upgraded version of the popular 428 series of desktop and kiosk
thermal printers with faster speeds and greater user options.

According to Mitch Tucker, Director of Sales for Microcom, the plus series features a “high-
speed USB port combined with a high-speed Windows driver that allows host based printing
technology, streamlining the printer by drawing on your PC’s resources. This provides greater
flexibility to create labels, tags, tickets or wristbands using custom fonts, language, barcodes and
graphics without printer memory restrictions.”

The 428 plus series is complete with many features, including 203 dpi or 300 dpi print
resolution, 8” per second print speed, auto loading capabilities and adjustable black line or gap
sensor. Our 428T plus and 428TC plus desktop thermal printers are enclosed in a durable metal
case with an industrial strength mechanism permitting use in even the toughest environments.
The 428TM plus thermal kiosk printer is specially designed for reliability in unattended
applications by reducing potential downtime and providing an industry leading low cost of
ownership.
